For well over 15 years SawTECH, ScanTECH and Wood Manufacturing events have been run for Australasian wood processing companies. In September  2013 an inaugural WoodEXPO ran in both New Zealand and Australia, the last major event run in the region.

Year 2005 highlight new innovations, new products and new  equipment to improve sawmilling, wood manufacturing and wood panel companies operating efficiencies – and profitability.

To remain internationally competitive,  sawmills increasingly are looking at tools and technologies that can be used to increase lumber yields, improve grade recoveries, get higher production speeds  out of their saw-lines, lower the service or maintenance requirements of equipment and reduce the sawing costs for their operation.

Sawmillers increasingly are working  much more closely with their technology providers. The last couple of years has seen some of the most sophisticated sawing technologies and saw designs developed in  recent times.

To showcase these developments, WoodTECH 2015 has been set up for Australian and New Zealands' sawmilling companies.
